If you are vacationing with your family, the San Luis Resort is on the beach in the heart of Galveston. It features beautiful views of the Gulf of Mexico and a hotel pool. "As you can see from the sign in the photo, it offers everything for the vacationer. The beach is just across the street and all the things listed are just a short walk from there", says Captain Mike. "Also, in my opinion, the International House of Pancakes (IHOP) offers the best coffee and breakfast anywhere on the Island". |

"I have stayed at this Hotel many times over the years. The rooms are big and clean with good service
and the rates are very reasonable; excellent for someone coming to Galveston for fishing. The Baymont
is just off the beach, about a block, and there are many places to eat within walking distance. There
is also a Walmart within walking distance, and the Galveston beach front 61st fishing pier,
open 24/7, which makes this a great fishing location."
